Who is responsible for your information

What we collect

Snookr does not require a name, email address, account, profile, or user submissions to use its core features. We do not use advertising trackers or analytics SDKs in the app.

When the app or website connects to our services, technical information necessary to deliver the request may be processed. This can include your IP address, browser or device information, request time, requested page or endpoint, and security-related request information. This information may appear in security and operational logs.

How and why we use information

We use technical request information only to operate, secure, and troubleshoot Snookr, including detecting abuse and service failures. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interests in running a reliable and secure service. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising, profiling, or automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

Service providers and international transfers

Cloudflare provides the infrastructure used to serve Snookr’s website and API. It processes technical request information to deliver, secure, and improve that service. Cloudflare may process this information in countries outside the United Kingdom; where this involves a restricted transfer, it is protected using the safeguards described in Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Scores and news sources

The app retrieves snooker data from the Snookr API. It also retrieves and displays headlines from third-party RSS feeds, currently including WPBSA and BBC Sport. When the app retrieves a feed, the relevant provider may receive technical request information such as your IP address and device or browser information under its own privacy policy. If you open a news item, you leave Snookr and the third party’s privacy policy also applies.

Cookies and similar technology

We do not set advertising or analytics cookies. Cloudflare may use limited technical storage or cookies where necessary to deliver and protect the service; see Cloudflare’s privacy policy for more information.

How long we keep information

We retain security and operational logs for one week, then delete or anonymise them unless we need to keep them longer to investigate a security incident or comply with a legal obligation.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal data, and to data portability. You can exercise these rights by emailing [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Children

Snookr is not intended to collect personal information from children. As the app does not provide accounts or user submissions, it does not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Snookr develops. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
